A worn or poorly seating toilet flapper is a common reason water leaks quietly from the tank into the bowl. Replacement is usually a simple repair if you match the flapper to the flush valve and set the chain with a little slack.
A running toilet is a symptom, not a single part failure. The useful approach is to watch what the tank does after a flush, then decide whether water is leaking past the flapper, overflowing because of fill level, or escaping through another tank component.
A slow bathroom sink is often caused by hair, soap residue, or buildup around the stopper and trap. Start with the easiest accessible places and stop before a small clog turns into damaged plumbing or a chemical-cleaner mess.
A clogged faucet aerator can cause weak, uneven, or spraying water at one fixture. Cleaning the screen is a quick first check, but modern faucets use several aerator styles, including recessed “cache” units that require a matching key.
