Small drywall holes are beginner-friendly when the damage is dry and stable. The real skill is not filling the opening; it is building a flat patch that disappears after sanding, primer, and paint.

Old nail holes, picture-hook marks, and ordinary screw holes are quick cosmetic repairs. A clean result comes from using very little filler, leaving the wall flat, and priming before paint when the patch would otherwise flash.

A good bedroom paint job is mostly preparation and workflow. Protect the room, repair the walls, cut clean edges, keep a wet edge while rolling, and give the paint enough time to dry before putting the room back together.

A shelf meant to hold real weight should be fastened to framing whenever the bracket layout allows it. The job is locating studs accurately, laying out level bracket positions, and using fasteners that suit both the bracket and the wall construction.

A wall hook stays put when its fastener matches both the wall material and the weight hanging from it. The first question is not “where should the hook go?” but “what will this hook actually carry?”
