Virgin Mary Statue

Blessed Virgin Mary Statue for Garden

This is my Blessed Virgin Mary statue review. I purchased and placed  a garden statue of Mary in my front yard flower garden as a way to honor Mary and to give my wife a present that she really wanted during a tough time.  During the spring of 2020, when the world was coming to grips with a pandemic, my family and I were doing a lot of online shopping.  Things like toilet paper were hard to find, but other things were still accessible.  As we got closer to Mother’s Day, my sort of stressed out wife mentioned that she’d like to have a Blessed Mother statue for one of our flower gardens.  We were both raised Catholic and my wife has always had a special connection with Mary since she was a little girl attending Catholic school.  I decided that I was going to find and purchase a statue of Mary to put in one of our flower gardens.

Anyway…  I really did not want to order a stone or cement figurine.  The weight would push the cost of shipping up and I was also concerned about it getting damaged before it arrived at our home.  Buying locally was out because there was nothing easy about shopping during the spring of 2020.

Long story short, if you are looking for a statue of the Blessed Mother Mary that does not weigh 5o pounds and looks great, you should check this one out.

Full disclosure, as an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases if you purchase after following one of my links. The Mother Mary statue shown above weighs in at around nine pounds and stands 23 inches tall. You can purchase a separate pedastal for the statue, but I used some one foot square patio stones that I picked up at Lowe’s under our statue. The patio stones are heavy and sturdy. Since I was placing the statue in the garden, I knew that the bottom would mostly be concealed by flowers anyway.  You can go for the fancier pedestal if you prefer of course.

Virgin Mary StatueI planted three small rose bushes around the base of the statue and I am hoping that by next year, all three rose bushes will be thriving and filling in the space around the base of the blessed mother statue.  There are many Virgin Mary garden statues available online, but I was impressed by the sheer number of purchases and positive reviews that this particular Virgin Mary statue received.  Of course, your own personal preferences will guide you, but this is one of the nicer Blessed Mother statues I found (in my humble opinion).

I look to my garden as a place of peace.  I plant flowers that attract birds, butterflies, and other small garden friends.  Bunnies regularly hop up to within a few feet of me as I sit and sip my coffee on summer mornings.  Even though I purchased the Blessed Mother statue for my wife, I truly enjoy listening to the early morning bird songs as I relax and gaze upon my tiny shrine to the Mother of Jesus.  I hope you enjoyed this short blog post about this lovely Mary garden statue and I wish you a blessed day!
